NW Security Group were commissioned by property development and investment firm Eshton Group to help them capture video to showcase their construction project at the Burnley Bridge Business Park in Lancashire.

The construction of the Exertis Distribution Centre was the largest building that Eshton Group had so far been asked to develop and it was important to mark this milestone by boosting the profile of the project online. Eshton Group asked NW Security Group to provide time-lapse footage of the construction for marketing purposes and to be able to monitor live images of the project from their headquarters in Leeds.

The lack of utilities and network connectivity at the construction site meant NW Security Group needed to power and remotely access an IP camera in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly way. The solution was to install a high resolution Mobotix camera with a secure, high speed 3G cellular broadband connection; powered by two compact solar panels and a wind turbine system. This approach has credible green credentials and proves that the well planned deployment of a single camera can create a very effective solution.
