After winning a £1.5 million grant, the College of West Anglia have been given the go ahead to start the construction of its new £3 million technology block. With purpose-built workshops, classrooms and practical training facilities the new building is designed over two floors with a total area of 1,160 Square metres.Construction workers

With such a large extension the college were keen to document the build and contacted us for a suitable solution. We recommended our RemoteManager system, in order for the college to monitor the progress remotely and build an image archive of the construction. A 3G connection was provided as the site sat too far away from the connection already in place. This will allow for footage of the build to be distributed online for students and parents wishing to see the development. RemoteManager will also create a time-lapse film of the project.

Work began this month and is due to finish next summer when the system may then be moved to cover the demolition of an adjacent tower block.
