Border Collie Trust GB in Staffordshire called NW Systems back in to advise on further scaling up the IP camera system installed in 2009.

The Trust, a charitable organisation rescuing and re-homing collies throughout the UK, piloted with network cameras to monitor their kennels and keep an eye on the behaviour of distressed dogs. The system is accessible on their local computer network and also remotely via the Internet, allowing for the welfare of the animals to be observed day and night.

The second phase of the implementation comprised additional cameras which have been wirelessly connected to keep the cost down, whilst infrared functionality is being deployed to allow monitoring of the dogs when asleep in darkness. The dog kennels are widely covered with video cameras now the second stage has been completed.
