Commissioning services
CCTV commissioning - Ensure maximum security and protection
More than just meeting standards
In security, system commissioning is the most critical part of an installation. First and foremost it reassures customers that a system meets the requirements and functionality as originally specified, and that the physical part of the installation is secure and conforms to standard.
In the UK, CCTV systems require a Certificate of Conformity for video evidence to be considered in court, Police forces require conformity for issuing URNs and insurance companies may insist on such certification as well. And there are implications regarding the Data Protection Act to think of too.
Commissioning standards
SSAIB certified (UK only), we can offer to commission video security installations in accordance with the SSAIB Code of Practice or BS 50132 the European standard for the design, installation and maintenance of CCTV systems. On successfully passing the checks, we issue a Certificate of Conformity referencing the standards stated above.
Health checks
In response to growing demand, we offer to perform health checks on existing IP-based surveillance systems with the findings and recommendations provided in an objective assessment report.
We provide corrective maintenance, training, commissioning and ongoing technical support for such system as if it was an implementation of our own.

We go further
An IP-based video surveillance system typically runs via a shared network, usually managed by the customer's IT department. This means that the customer plays a bigger part in ensuring that a system continues to operate to standard.
To assist our customers with this additional task, we provide in-depth system administrator and user training, delivered by a senior specialist.
We also find that customers often like to change some settings after a few weeks of using the system. To accommodate this need, we offer one free revisit to site, usually after about a month, as part of our commissioning procedure and to tweak the system to final requirement.
For further peace of mind we provide our customers with free helpdesk support, available to both system users as well as system administrators. This support is free of charge for the lifetime of a system, and ensures customers have access to instant specialist assistance that may be needed to being able to manage the system that is being operated.
